  12. Hi everyone,

  14. I am hearing a lot these days about JAVA.  Can anyone with some knowledge of
  15. JAVA tell me what are the main advantages and disadvantages of JAVA over
  16. C++.  I have heard people say that JAVA is a better language than C++, at
  17. least in some aspects, and that JAVA is the future language of the 
  18. operating systems,  or even that it is going to replace C++.
  19. I know that it is seriously being used, in some form, for web browsers.
  20. As JAVA is an interpretive languange, I do not think it can compete with
  21. C or C++ in terms of speed.
